Chief Financial Officer
Kris Warfel
Kristin Warfel has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Graham Packaging since December 2018. Prior to that, she served as CFO of Graham’s North America Business Unit and CFO for various individual business units within Graham Packaging, including food and beverage, and the household, automotive and personal care business units from 2008 to 2018. With a long history at Graham Packaging, Warfel has held various other leadership roles within Graham, including plant controller and production manager at one of the largest production facilities for the company. She began her career as an accountant at Engel Machinery, a large scale global producer of injection molding machinery.
As CFO, Warfel oversees the finance, IT, audit, tax and procurement teams, as well as helps to create and develop the business strategy of the company that encompasses Graham’s goals of waste elimination and profitable growth. She oversees the treasury, managing cash and working capital of the company, working to prioritize investment opportunities and working with operations to collaborate across the company on the business strategy. In 2020, Warfel oversaw the debt refinancing for Graham Packaging as Reynolds Group Holdings sought to raise stand-alone financing for the company, and also led Graham through COVID-19 with strategies to mitigate costs and meet targets even during the global pandemic.
A leader who builds a culture of trust, accountability and reliability, Warfel has a proven track record of building effective and dedicated teams that promote from within, giving others a chance to expand their careers at Graham Packaging similarly to her. She also serves as treasurer of the GPC Board of Directors and is very active in the community, fundraising and volunteering for various initiatives, including JDRF, cleaning up the Susquehanna River and more.
Warfel received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an associate’s degree in management from York College of Pennsylvania.
